Still life fruit (aka playing around with some camera settings)

I go to a Hare Krishna place for yoga sometimes. They have this
painted on the wall in their bathroom

I really love this jewellery tree I poached from my mama

A cool lampshade at a Japanese restaurant on Courtenay Place

The Katherine Mansfield statue on Lambton Quay. This also
happened to be Suffrage Day. Yay for awesome Kiwi women!

After I voted in our national election, I had my first ever
coffee syphon at Lamason, a cafeI didn't even know existed
until that morning. I love when the process of making
something to eat or drink is part of the experience and enjoyment of it.

Spring has finally sprung! A Sunday walk and blossom spotting

I had arranged to work from home on this Monday as I had
a presentation to work on. And boy, was it a good day to choose!

Lights on the Brooklyn hill. I know technically it's not a good photo, but I
like the effect the longer shutter speed made when I moved my camera

I've been doing a photography course in a high school science class room
on Wednesday evenings

I made this yummy sweet chilli chicken and noodle salad.
So zingy with fresh lime, mint and coriander

I was given some fresh chillis from my aunt's garden in
Martinborough a while back and I hung them to dry from a
window catch in the kitchen with ribbon, as it's all I could find

Trying out some longer shutter speeds on my
photography class field trip. This is the waterfall at Te Papa.
So yeah, not really a field trip

A good friend has come back from overseas to have her
first baby, so we threw her a baby shower and had fun
decorating some cupcakes

I was in Auckland for work and went out for dinner in Britomart, probably
my favourite area in Auckland

A pretty sunset on the flight back to Wellington

Spring flowers at a friend's house

Someone left me this interesting note on my car.
I'm still not really sure what to make of it - some kind of social experiment?

Friday tacos at Tequila Joe's

At the Imaginarium in town. Some people get all the talent

A Sunday stroll along the south coast. The weather is definitely getting warmer!

I kicked off a very foodie week with some delicious sticky date pudding
made by my flatmate.

And to try and mitigate all the food (it was still Wellington on a Plate you see),
I made this super salad for lunch

A soft shell crab burger at Dragonfly. Not amazing - but also not what
I was expecting. Who knew you ate the whole crab? Ok, so apparently it was
only me who wasn't aware

But it wasn't all about snacks. There were also cool lights for Lux Wellington!
This sort of thing always makes me feel super lucky to live here

I was given my very first vinyl record. It has all sorts of fancy stuff - like
it plays from the inside out and has a sweet hologram. Here's the title track.

Last foodie one I promise...well for this week at least. This was Wellington
Chocolate Factory custard with Flight Coffee espresso foam and pistachio tuille.
It was like drinking a chocolate hug

A calm, somewhat sunny day, that was perfect for a bike ride
around the bays - I definitely needed the exercise after this week!
