Monday! It usually seems to be this day in particular that I miss, when I miss a day. Nothing interesting happens on Mondays anyway, right? If Monday were shoes, they'd be crocs. But anyway...

On Tuesday I got to meet a new little guy who was
the cutest and tiniest

And I drank beer at Moon with a really good friend on Wednesday

I forced someone into going for an after work walk around the south coast, and
caught a lone surfer

I do like a spin class (as much as it's possible to truly enjoy exercise)
but I'm not so sure about this 'high-octane euphoria business'

Bright blooms for my flatmate's birthday

And fruity décor at brunch in Mt Cook

I needed this message from my tea bag. Looking
for a new place is stressful!

I had another full day's training at Maranui Surf Life Saving Club (nothing to do
withlife saving unfortunately). The clouds were pretty spectacular

After a multitude of lists and conversations and consideration - we were lucky
and confirmed a new flat to live in - yay! We definitely consulted the magic
eight ball pen for guidance along the way

A nice pint of Psycho Keller and a catch up with a pretty
special friend visiting from Berlin

A new dish to try at The Ramen Shop. Pretty stoked we're staying local in our new
place, and can continue to enjoy all the awesome places in Newtown

Speaking of which, I've been stalking our new place recently, you know, just
standing outside and staring up at it at various times of day. As you do.
This cute bus stop is right nearby

An awesome weekend was concluded with a friend's birthday celebration on what
felt like a mid-summer's day. This summer is going to be amazing - I can feel it

Found these beauties peaking over my fence. I am so happy spring is here
and we've had some really stellar days lately

This Tuesday afternoon was so clear, you could see all the way to the
snowy Rimutakas

I had a beer and some pizza at Newtown's newest hang out,
Moon Bar. They have a few choice pinball machines, including
this vintage number. It's so cool to have a great bar and live music
venue right on the door step

I bought some cute new flats. They were pretty cheap and, interestingly,
completely vegan

Another first this week was trying Beer Meets Grill. The burgers are pretty amazing,
but the wait for both a table and food was so long. If I was hungry, I wouldn't
choose this place

I've been dying to go to The Hangar for brunch for a while.
Whilst the coffee was good (cute tray and little tasting notes too), the food was
disappointing - super hard toast and everything was a bit cold, including the plate.
So my inner foodie was left wanting this week

Another beaut of a day -  you could almost touch the south island on this
Sunday morning walk

Unfortunately I was sick with a tummy bug on the Monday of this week, so there's no photo. Damn. I'm sure that no-one would've been interested in anything I was seeing that day. But enough about that - here are some pics from the rest of the week!

It's love, isn't it? An exhibition in the light boxes in
Courtenay Place park

Te Papa from the City to Sea bridge on a sunny spring day

A really awesome seared beef salad I made, with beetroot, feta and a horseradish
and peppercorn sauce. And with a nice glass of pinot to boot

This lion was looking after the entrance way of an Indian
restaurant I went to on a Friday night

80s roller disco at the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre. Cannot express how
much fun this was. I loved skating as a kid, and it's a skill I haven't lost, thankfully

Sunday breakfast for one - avocado, bacon and scrambled eggs,
And People's Coffee of course!
